Clematis armandii

This is a vigorous evergreen clematis that flowers from January or February, depending on local conditions. It bears almond scented white flowers about 2.5 cm to 5 cm across. It is quite vigorous, growing up to about 5m in height with a spread of 3m. It is particularly useful for clothing large deciduous trees in winter. As it produces flowers on the previous year's growth, if pruning is needed do so in early spring after flowering
